Like memories returned.

Hello!

Probably just a quick update before I go for service later. So happy about seeing my friends getting to know God better.

18th birthday is approaching, not really sure how I should celebrate it, or even want to celebrate it or not. Setting my goals for this year, many people may think that I am hoping for the impossible.

I want to excel in leadership. School, it is probably not just a place for me to get my education. I believe it is also a platform for me to nurture the leader in me. I want to be prepared for my next phrase of life.

Starting work next week at Coffee Club. Planning to work at least 6 months or more to support myself during building fund season and also getting my driving license. Staring at a photo taken in 1996 with my sister, I can’t believe I’m turning 18 next year!

Alright, gotta run now. Hope I wont be late meeting the guys later. Ciao!

If God permits.

Why is my life screwed up, yet I can’t help but to smile? Why do I see people who are sorry about their lives and I get so frustrated. Deep down, I just felt like shouting at them, “SOMEONE ELSES PROBLEMS ARE BIGGER THAN YOURS, YET THEY’RE SATISFIED.”

You can always get back the amount of money you spend. You can always recharge the battery life that is in your phone. All this things seems to be so important in our lives, but people rather think that it is time that is insignificant.

When a minute passes, it passes forever.

Do you allow it to pass by, carrying your burden of sadness into memories?

Smile. It’s that simple.

It’s so unfair, you ain’t treasuring life! People out there are begging for you to give them the time that you have wasted frowning away.

Live life, dream big and make optimism your best friend. That is what you should see. Get back your life. :)

I won the what?

Wow, great job to the American commander-in-chief for winning the nobel peace prize award!

All paid off for efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples eh.

Strengthening of international diplomacy and cooperation, what are the haters complaining about? It’s not like they can get half of the job done.

I hope Obama sees this, he might just share some of the $$ with me. heh heh heh. Just kidding.

Life is getting more sweaty and fit. Perspire my butt out while I was back at dojo for training. But somehow the training was really satisfying, can’t wait for the next one!

Today, I learned that life can never be unjust unless God permits it. In other words, when life is unfair, chances are that I am under a test of faith by God. There can never be faith without a challenge ahead of me.

As I am going through some confusion in my life right now, I am well assured that God is close to my heart. It is a certainly that He knows what I am going through.

There are definitely things that I desire in life, I’ll let God do His will. What else could I have done? By my own strength?

Impossible.

Though a void was left in my heart, I still stand by faith that God will bring someone to fill it. Through His overpowering presence, the void seems to be insignificant, but I can’t deny it’s presence.

Here I am, waiting. Where did you go?

Just my personal thoughts for the evening..

With Love From KL!

Hellooooooooo, I’m back from KL!

3 days of good fun and company. Nonya Peranakan food is just simply the best. Chinatown bargaining and Sunway Lagoon thrills are good too.

I guess for Sunway Lagoon theme park, it’s really not for me. Billy is a chicken that hates 360 degrees rides! Hahaha. So going to theme parks is just a waste of money for me.

Among all the food that we ate there, Nonya food tasted the best! Howwwww do I even describe the taste?

Oooooh, good company from SEG mates! I’m glad to know that few people from my bus.

The bargainings at Chinatown is something you can never get in Singapore. Singapore traders are simply too fierce and less desperate. Woots, kudos to the Malaysians!

Didn’t really buy a lot of stuffs, just some clothes, and lao po bing (Wife’s biscuits) for Ah Ma! :)

Nothing personal, it’s just business.

“Dear Billy,

Thank you for your email.

I am sorry to inform you that we will not be able to consider your request for a transfer to DBM.  The Cut off Point for 2009 is 16.

Regards

<Ming Loo>”

NYP is out of question. Never mind, I shall perservere. I’m not gonna waste 3 years of my life in doing something I don’t like. God, I wish going SIM is Your will for me.

I shall pray, when daddy is back, I’ll have good news.

I hope..

What if..

What if I could turn something that I am doing now into a business concept?

The idea came when I was reading a book written by Donald Trump. It is called, Trump 101. Who wouldn’t be amazed by the accomplishments this guy has made? You would love to be like him, isn’t it?

As I began to read about big figures in the business industry, I realise that I have to throw away my mediocre mindset to be able to apply their principles in my life. What if 100% of my brain can be used instead of just 10%?

Success comes easily, but I’ll look at how big is the measure of that success. I would wanna set a high standard in the things that I have passion about.

Currently I am trying to explore ways and possibilities. Apply action to concept so as to make it alive. Praying for favour of men.

My Home, my Singapore. <3

As we have just celebrated our nation’s 44th birthday. I feel so proud of what Singapore has become. This is neither propaganda nor spirit of patriotism but this is a message of love for my country.

When I was younger, I often tell my dad how blessed it is to be in Singapore, in my lifetime, there was no war, no natural disasters. Everything was peaceful and still is today. I live harmoniously with my Malay, Indian and Eurasian friends. I feel blessed for the education I receive till today. I have not received the perfect, but it was certainly the best.

I thank God that He has blessed this nation for what she is today. Prosperous, peaceful and good governance. I thank God for what I have now, a roof over my head, an education for my knowledge and a future to look forward to. I live freely here as a democrat. Freedom of choices that are morally upright.

As I look to the future now, I certainly do not know what lies ahead. How will my army life be? It will certainly be tough, but at least it will make the toughness out of me. Maybe one day we might have a war? I will fight, for the people I love are in this country.

Ultimately one day, God’s promise for this country will be done. One thing for certain, we will be the Antioch of the east. Just like the Antioch City, Singapore will serve as a base for missions.

I pray that Singapore will continue to be a blessing to others, now and forever more.

To Singapore with love,

Billy

Dare to dream

When I was younger, people used to ridicule me when I told them my dream job.

“I wish to mind my own business.”

The reason behind this passion is because I want to have more freedom in my life, freedom to make choices, freedom to do what I love to and freedom of my finances.

Nonetheless, I kept my passion growing strong as I took an alternative education while going through the traditional one. It was a subject on Financial Literacy. It all started after reading a book by Robert Kiyosaki, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” which I borrowed from a friend’s old shelf of books.

After my first exposure to the knowledge of financial literacy, I began a spree to swallow any information about the subject to fuel my passion.

I believe I am on my way now to achieving my dream.

How about you? Yes you, do you have a dream?

Whether is it a childhood dream to be a doctor, lawyer, pilot and so on, I encourage you to have courage to chase it! Never let people who don’t see your vision discourage you. Your passion is a hidden treasure in your mind. One thing you should never stop doing is, persevering.

Persevere your way to success and others will begin to see your fruits of labour. They will even think twice about ridiculing another hidden value, passion.

Limitations?

Psalms 78:41
Yes, again and again they tempted God,And limited the Holy One of Israel.

I had an amazing time with God this week. Sometimes I look at my life and realise that it is built around limitations. Limit from what? From God’s promises and faithfulness.

Just recently I was praying for a sick friend in my room. I begin to pray this prayer, “God, if you will, take some of my blessings and bless her(my sick friend) instead….” After awhile the Holy Spirit begin to drop something, “Are my powers limited to allow you to confess such things?”

I begin to repent and visualise God being limitless in the spiritual realm. I believe this happens most of the time to some Christians this days. We pray prayers that doesn’t expect much from God. We worry about things in life when God has already assured us of our future. While you are praying this prayers, understand that God’s grace is limitless to people!

I believe this is one thing we can think about and enhance our prayer life. Let’s have a mindset of a limitless God instead of a limited God!

God bless.

Taking it further

Oh my shosh, it’s 2A.M.

Thought I’ll blog before I get to sleep.

I am supposed to reach Guo Yang’s place today by 12P.M. but I was still in bed at around 1136A.M. So quickly messaged him to change timing. Tried out his new Tama drumset and it’s not really bad. His crib was cool though, pink and black walls.

Scout around Bugis for music shops and went to The Music Lab too. Thinking of enrolling myself to the drum course there, perhaps due to seeing people that I know going there and had good results thereafter.

Ruby’s birthday celebration was cool. We went to Timbre @ Substation. The surrounding trees and timber furniture made it felt like a pub located in a tropical island. Singapore is not tropical, Singapore is just, a warm place. Very very warm. Live band and Brendan’s little bit of singing, Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours to Ruby contributed to the ambience.

Setting my mind to embed God’s optimism to my every thought. Food for thought? Stay optimistic always, what you think always reflect on your actions.

If pigs can get flu, nothing is impossible.
